Acceptable use policy
The numbers exist so a personal mobile can stay off a sign-up form. They are not a tool for deceiving a service or harming someone else. The list of refusals is on this page.

1. What SmsWays is for
Signing up to services without exposing your personal number, keeping work and personal accounts apart, testing your own products’ SMS flows, travelling, and protecting yourself from spam, data leaks and SIM-swap attacks.
2. What is not allowed
- Fraud, scams, phishing, or any attempt to obtain money, data or access you are not entitled to.
- Harassment, threats, stalking, or contacting people who do not want to hear from you.
- Impersonating a person or an organisation.
- Evading a ban or a suspension imposed on you by a service.
- Creating accounts in bulk to manipulate reviews, votes, promotions or referral programmes.
- Anything illegal where you are, where the number is, or where the service is.
3. Services’ own rules
Every app has its own terms. Using a SmsWays number does not change them, and you remain responsible for respecting them.
4. What we do about abuse
We may refuse orders, suspend or close accounts that break this policy, and keep the balance of accounts used for fraud. We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
5. Reporting abuse
If a SmsWays number was used to harm you, report the account to the app or service where it was created — they can act on it directly — and, where a crime is involved, to the police. We answer lawful requests from the authorities.
